Subtypes

Gratitude and Forgiveness are of the same nature. They both acknowledge, accept, and affirm that which Is. They are subtypes of the energy of Love.

Mental coercion

When the mind demands proof

be provided for what it disbelieves

it is demanding to be coerced

from its current state to another.

Such heavy proof is mental coercion,

like lures and intimidation are emotional coercion,

like dragging and pain are physical coercion.

All of them forms of violence.

The good teacher would rather not resort

to such disempowering techniques.

"Drag me into your belief" the mind demands,

implying itself the unfair victim of insufficient evidence.

"I shall not rob you of your search" says the teacher,

"the path is there but it is you who must walk,

unless you are to be a will-less marionette".

Body Rest

Complete sleep requires rest of body and rest of mind. A late night meal forces the body to work at digestion into the night, precluding rest of body. It prevents, therefore, complete sleep.

Value

One needs no approval in order to value oneself.

The Familiar

I see once, twice, and again

what I once sought and chased, when settled, brings me pain.

one blooms and strives to catch the desired

and past the thrilling chase, that which was strongly admired

slowly becomes a tightening noose

from which one is desperate to loose.

dreams

All these dreams and aspirations

with shiny prizes at the end

have no substance of value at all.

They are all just fictions

illusory lego-like constructions

excuses only, to make us move and learn

and thereby grow.

Motivations

The motivations of reward and punishment keep one's will subservient to external circumstances, and one's vision limited and leashed.

Incessantness

The incessantness of consciousness overwhelms easily.

Patience 2

Patience is not a skill to obtain.

Patience is not a goal to achieve.

It is not an object of the within.

It is the absence of impatience, which is an object.

Impatience is a turbulence caused by rush.

Rush is a force powered by mistrust.

Mistrust is a common face of fear.

Like the bug that lands on the pond causes ripples

And disturbs the clear vision throughin.

Patience is no thing.

It is an absence of thing.

A non-interference with what is

for what is is trusted to be

what truly Is.

Exotic 2

The exotic is the glamour of the different. Of the far, of that which is not me, and of which holds a potential escape.

Like every illusion, it disappears in the appropriate perspective. Looking at the exotic from up close is what shatters the illusion. From up close, every town, every culture, and every human roots in the same basic instincts and essential qualities: the ground of flesh, hunger, pain, and lust, seeded with the still-maturing gifts of mind, joy, and love.

Child Eyes

She steps with curious and uncertain intent, that two-year old girl, the vast expanse of the world open to her as a sparkling adventure, in continuous flowing change. Uncertain of her goal, attending to every signal. Bright, sparkling, intense life continuously in front of her. 

How are we any different, decades later?

Balancing Act

to share oneself completely

yet not to dissolve into the others

to not surrender one's own authority

but to retain one's own boundaries

intent and willpower

choice and intellect

and self-determination

intact

yet in wholesome service

is a worthy balancing act

in the human life

Learn

One can only learn if one accepts that one is either ignorant or incorrect.

Softness

"There is power in softness".

In a manner of speaking. In Truth, the power is within us, always. Softness is merely a method by which one cna relax the constricting, anxious muscles of the mind, by which the emotional storms can rage and vent and dissipate, after which we can recognize, once more, the Truth of our being shining through.

Tree of Life

I am the Tree of Life,

living as one of Its myriad twigs.

Trust

Trust

is to float amidst an endless ocean

(as we do)

ropeless, boatless, shoreless

(as we are)

and to not pretend otherwise.

Continuous unwrapping

May we live

through a continuous unwrapping

in mystery, wonder

in childlike exuberance

of the ever-unfolding present

moment.

Supervivencia

Es en un mundo con competencia y con miedo de supervivencia que uno se apura, estresa, y tiene miedo por no obtener lo que busca. En un mundo en el que uno se acepta, sin miedo de consecuencias, uno simplemente es.

Paz
